Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely using bcrypt encryption).

Usage data: We collect information about how you use the platform — which plans you create, tasks you complete, and your learning progress. This is used to provide your dashboard and personalised experience.

Payment information: When you purchase credits, payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card number, UPI ID, or any payment credentials. We only receive a transaction confirmation from Razorpay.

YouTube URLs: When you generate a plan, we fetch the transcript of the YouTube video you provide. We do not store the video itself, only the transcript and the generated plan.

Device information: We may collect basic device and browser information (such as your browser type, IP address, and operating system) for security purposes and to improve the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the PlanYogi platform
• Process payments and manage your credit balance
• Send you important account notifications (streak reminders, plan completion alerts)
• Respond to your support requests
• Improve and develop new features
• Prevent fraud and ensure platform security

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on MongoDB Atlas — a secure, encrypted cloud database hosted on servers in India/Singapore. We use industry-standard encryption (JWT tokens, bcrypt password hashing) to protect your account.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only with:

• Razorpay — for processing payments
• Groq — the AI provider that generates your learning plans (your YouTube transcript is sent to Groq to generate the plan)
• Firebase — for push notifications (if you opt in)
• Google — Google Translate widget is embedded for language support

Each of these services has their own privacy policies and data protection practices.

5. Public Plans and Library

If you choose to share a plan to the public library, the plan title, summary, tasks, and notes become publicly visible to any visitor. Your email address is never shown publicly. You can un-share a plan at any time from your dashboard.

6. Cookies

We use a single authentication cookie (planyogi_token) to keep you logged in. This cookie is essential for the platform to function. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies beyond those used by Google Translate.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Children's Privacy
